Garner police are investigating vandalism to at least 12 vehicles in what appears to be related incidents around town Tuesday night.
According to police reports, an unknown person or persons drove through various neighborhoods breaking car windows sometime around 9:30 p.m. Police believe the damage could have been caused by a BB gun or other small projectile.
A resident on Chapwith Road was outside her home when she heard glass breaking.
"She saw a dark colored car speeding away from the scene and then notified police," said Sgt. Todd Marr.
Responding officers searched the area for suspects but did not locate anyone. During their search, they identified 11 more vehicles that had been vandalized in the same general area.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Garner Police Department at 772-8810 or CRIME STOPPERS at 226-2746.
