FUQUAY-VARINA -- Officers on Thursday charged two men who were seen trying to break into cars, police said.
Christopher G. Jones, 30, of Fuquay-Varina was charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, financial transaction fraud, possession of stolen property and five counts of withholding a financial transaction card.
Daniel W. Capshaw, 31, of Willow Springs, was charged with possession of stolen property and breaking and entering a motor vehicle.
Also Thursday, the Harnett County Sheriff's Office announced the arrests last month of six men on a combined 102 charges related to thefts from cars in the western part of the county. The men, all 17 to 19 years old, have posted bail. Investigators said they targeted unlocked vehicles at homes and businesses.
