Motorcyclist killed in I-540 accident

KNIGHTDALE -- A motorcyclist was killed Friday night after an accident on Interstate 540.

Willie Jenkins Hodges, 46, of Fuquay-Varina was riding with two other motorcycles on eastbound I-540 near Knightdale Boulevard at about 10:15 p.m. when he collided with one of the bikes, lost control and crashed, said Knightdale police Lt. David Simmons. Hodges was lying on the highway when he was run over by a tractor-trailer truck.
