Durham firefighter remains hospitalized

DURHAM -- A firefighter seriously injured during a Tuesday training exercise remains in critical condition this afternoon at UNC Hospitals.

Eric Rozier, a Durham firefighter for more than nine years, was participating in urban search-and-rescue training at Jordan Lake when he suffered major head injuries. The department has not said how Rozier was injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
