An unclaimed winning ticket worth $200,000 for Wednesday night's Powerball drawing was bought in Raleigh, North Carolina's lottery announced today.
No one matched all five white balls plus the Powerball to win Wednesday night's full prize, pushing the jackpot for Saturday's drawing to an estimated $118 million, according to this afternoon's statement. The $200,000 ticket that matched all five white balls was sold at a Kmart located on Raleigh's Capital Boulevard, the release said.
Two other recent winners of other lottery games received prizes of $100,000 or more, according to the statement.
Valdese resident Joe Cline won the top prize of $149,571 by matching all five numbers for the "Carolina Cash 5" game on his Sept. 6 ticket. Raleigh resident Sheila Jessup won $100,000 off a "Fabulous 5's" ticket she purchased Monday.
