Change is in the air this political season, with candidates for all sorts of office saying they want to bring about "change" in Washington or Raleigh or elsewhere. So we're asking some of the candidates for major offices in North Carolina:
What's one specific way that you would change how government operates?
"Something that frustrates me constantly, these silos, the barriers. Things tend to end up in silos, and if you can just work together - we see it in Iraq and Afghanistan - I've found it to be true in almost any organization. [It is] something here in government that absolutely needs to be worked on. You can be more effective, you can save money. To me, that's one of the things. Another: The only way you get things done is to work across the aisle."
