RALEIGH -- Organizers expect more than 2,000 participants at Sunday's Alice and Thad Eure Walk for Hope, an annual charity walk that raises money for mental illness research and treatment.

Named for the late owners of the Angus Barn Restaurant, the walk has raised $2.7 million for scientific research grants in two decades, money that has leveraged more than $100 million in federal grants, according to a news release from event organizers.

Registration for the walk starts at 8 a.m. at the restaurant, at 9401 Glenwood Ave. in Raleigh, and the walk begins at 10 a.m. For more information, contact Bebee Bason Lee at 919-781-9255 or Bebee@walkforhope.com.
