Passengers may find that waits seem longer at Raleigh-Durham International Airport's new terminal. There's no cable television to keep them entertained.
Time Warner Cable is still installing cable at Terminal 2, said RDU spokesman Andrew Sawyer. Airport officials hope to have cable fully installed and running by Thanksgiving, he said.
The first phase of the $570-million terminal opened Sunday for passengers.
"Opening a new airport terminal is a monumental effort, and there are so many coordinating parts that have to be put in place," Sawyer said. Cable, he said, "didn't happen by opening day."
He said he had not heard of any complaints from passengers.
