A dedication ceremony will be held Friday in honor of the completion of affordable apartments in Wakefield Plantation.

The apartment complexes, called Wakefield Hills and Wakefield Manor, are part of a partnership to provide affordable housing options in Wakefield Plantation, according to a media release from Downtown Housing Improvement Corporation, a non-profit developer of affordable housing.

The ceremony will take place at noon at 10710 Nickleby Way in Raleigh, followed by an open house.

Wakefield Hills has 60 two-bedroom and 20 three-bedroom apartments which will rent for $350 to $775 a month. The property's amenities include a playground, a gazebo and a community building.

Wakefield Manor is a 96-unit apartment community that rent for $340 to $675 a month and is dedicated to serving low-income seniors 55 years old and older. That property's amenities include a fitness center, a beauty salon, a library and computer room.
