Sax, wine, chocolate in Cary Sunday

The Triangle Jazz Society and town of Cary will host a concert by saxophonist Marcus Mitchell on Sunday at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center in Cary.

Mitchell, a Maryland native, first became known to Triangle audiences while attending Shaw University, where he studied journalism.

Sunday's event, "Smooth and Sweet," will also feature samples of Escazu Artisan Chocolates as well as wine.

The free event, co-sponsored by the town of Cary, runs from 7 to 11 p.m. For more information, go to www.trianglejazz.org or call the Page-Walker center at 460-4963.

EPHESUS BAPTIST PLANS HOLIDAY SALE

Ephesus Baptist Church in Raleigh will hold a craft and bake sale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The "Holi-daze Shop" will feature homemade crafts and baked goods, with all proceeds going to the Ephesus Building Fund.

The church is at 6767 Hillsborough St. near the Interstate 40 overpass and the WakeMed Soccer Park.
