State Capitol to have ample Christmas flora

RALEIGH -- An assortment of Christmas trees and holiday wreaths donated by the 2008 N.C. Christmas Tree Association Grand Champions will be on display at the State Capitol beginning Saturday.

The theme for this year's decorations at the Capitol is "North Carolina Home for the Holidays."

The Capitol also will host holiday open houses featuring local performing groups from Dec. 11 through Dec. 14. The hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
