Tickets for the popular Santa Train at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham are sold out.

The museum added trips this year in response to the train's popularity during the holiday season, but all of those tickets have been reserved. On the 20-minute ride, the train takes passengers into Durham's version of the North Pole.

Parents can still try to get a Santa Train experience with the New Hope Valley Railway. The nonprofit railway runs Santa Trains up and down a four-mile stretch of track in Wake and Chatham counties.

Trips are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday and Dec. 13 and 14, with five trains operating each day from Bonsal, a small depot just south of Apex. The tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for children. Call 362-5416 or visit www.nhvry.org for more information.
