RALEIGH -- A health summit sponsored by Duke University Health System will explore how the region's changing population is affecting health care.
The summit, which is open to the public, will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S. Salisbury St.
Speakers include Lt. Gov.-elect Walter Dalton; William Atkinson II, CEO of WakeMed Hospital; and Dr. William J. Fulkerson, senior vice president of clinical affairs at Duke Health.
Topics include the changing health-care landscape, the impact of growth on public health and the effects of changing demographics on health-care delivery and the work force.
