DURHAM -- A bank robber stood in line this morning, waiting his turn, before he robbed the SunTrust Bank on Corcoran Street in downtown Durham, according to Durham police.

Police are now asking the public for information about the robber.

The man entered the bank around 9:30 a.m., stood in line and then handed a teller a note demanding money, police said. The man fled with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was used in the robbery, and no one was injured, police said.

The robber was described as a black male in his 40s or 50s with a salt-and-pepper full beard. He was approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and was wearing a black and white plaid jacket and a gray hoodie, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator C.C. Green at 560-4406 or CrimeStoppers at 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
