Sears stays on in Holly Springs

HOLLY SPRINGS -- Incumbent Dick Sears won his third term as mayor of Holly Springs, capturing 73.8 percent of the vote.

Linda Hunt Williams, Jimmy Cobb and Chet VanFossen won a tighter race for three open Town Council seats. Among seven candidates, Williams had 22.8 percent of the vote. Cobb took 16.8 percent, and VanFossen got 15.2 percent.
