A local rock band will do a benefit concert for the family of slain newspaper carrier Jenna Nielsen.

Nielsen, a mother of two young children, was eight months pregnant when her body was found outside a Raleigh convenience store last month.

Authorities have released a sketch of a suspect, but have not made any arrests in the crime.

The local progressive rock band Pivot practices near the spot where Nielsen was found. The band offered to turn a planned July 21 show at Volume 11 Tavern into a fund-raising event.

“Myself and the rest of the band wanted to know how we could help,” said Brian Kelly, lead singer of Pivot.

The "Justice 4 Jenna Benefit Concert" will also feature Raleigh band Transient and Agents of the Sun, from Baltimore.

Proceeds will go Nielsen's family, who also plan to attend the event.

Doors will open at 8 p.m. The cost will be $7, $9 for those under 21.
