RALEIGH -- A North Raleigh man who ran a photography studio pleaded guilty today to sexually abusing two children.

Ted Booker, owner of Artistic Image Studio at 2431 Spring Forest Road, was sentenced to at least seven years in prison.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor and one count of attempted first-degree sex offense.

The charges stemmed from incidents involving an 11-year-old in 1988 and a 3-year-old in February 2006.

The mother of the younger girl told Superior Court Judge Donald Stephens that her daughter is now scared to sleep. The young girl told her mother that Booker "tickled" her underneath her panties during a session in which Booker was taking pictures of her younger sister.

The girl reported the incident to police immediately, but prosecutors declined to pursue the case until the second victim came forward in 2007.

The other victim said she was baby-sitting Booker's son in 1988 and 1989 when Booker touched and attempted to have sex with her. The victim, now an adult, confronted Booker last year, and said he admitted to the molestation. She then contacted police.
