'I hope I'll never get any of the complications that can affect someone with diabetes. I hope I can still use my feet to play soccer and tennis, and I hope I will still see ... I hope for these things so I can carry on doing what I love.'

STUDENT: Gregory Ellis, eighth grade

SCHOOL: Magellan Charter School

ACHIEVEMENT: Gregory is an A-student and performer who has appeared in films and on stage. He was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes while on Clay Aiken's Joyful Noise tour in 2005 and has since worked to raise awareness and money.
