The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed young mother and newspaper carrier Jenna Nielsen has grown.
The reward is now $15,000, up from $10,000, the victim's family reports. Nielsen's father, Kevin Blaine, said in a release to media outlets that donations helped them raise that amount.
Nielsen, 22, of Fuquay-Varina, was found stabbed to death in the early morning hours of June 14 near a Raleigh convenience store where she was delivering USA Today newspapers. She was eight months pregnant.
Boon Edam Tomsed Inc., a revolving-door manufacturer in Lillington that employs Nielsen's father and husband, put up the original reward money. USA Today has also offered a $10,000 reward.
