SILER CITY -- A man is awaiting a court appearance after deputies responded to reports that a man on horseback was shooting at drivers along Alston Bridge Road on Sunday.
Terry Phillips, 38, of 469 Alston Bridge Road, was arrested Sunday at his home without incident, the Chatham County Sheriff's Office said Friday in a news release.
He was charged with felonious shooting into occupied property and five counts of assault by pointing a gun. Phillips is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
