The "Voting Is Power" event will "serve as an opportunity for citizens to interact with and listen to local and national political and civic leaders," according to a press release from MAS Freedom.
"We want North Carolina Muslims get involved in the civic affairs of the community, especially at the local grassroots level," said MAS Freedom Executive Director Mahdi Bray. "MAS Freedom is committed to providing training for this important endeavor."
Speakers will include presidential candidate Ron Paul, former congressman Walter Fauntroy and state Sen. Larry Shaw.
