Durham Police have charged David Hill, whose last known address is 1411 Sedgefield St., Durham, with first-degree rape and first-degree kidnapping in connection with an Oct. 10 case on West Club Boulevard.

Hill is also charged with five counts of felony breaking and entering and one count of misdemeanor breaking and entering. The break-ins occurred this month and in October on Sprunt Street, Ninth Street, Englewood Avenue, Green Street, Clarendon Street and Lancaster Street (a different address than the one in the assault/robbery press release).

The suspect was recently in the news when he was charged in a Nov. 7 break-in on Lancaster Street. Police say Hill assaulted the home's resident, robbed her and stole her blue 2001 Subaru Forester with Pennsylvania tag DFG-2261. In that case police charged Hill with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury; robbery with a dangerous weapon; first-degree burglary, larceny after breaking/entering and motor vehicle theft. Police say Hill knew the victim.

Hill is also known to frequent the Berkeley Street area.
