CHAPEL HILL -- Country-folk artist Emmylou Harris, folk-pop singer and songwriter Shawn Colvin, folk-rock vocalist and songwriter Patty Griffin and roots-country guitarist Buddy Miller will perform at Memorial Hall as part of their "Three Girls and Their Buddy" tour, which begins next month.

The concert at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at Memorial Hall caps off the Carolina Performing Arts American Roots series and replaces an appearance by Mary Chapin Carpenter. She had been scheduled to perform a sold-out concert Feb. 15 at UNC-CH but canceled her entire 2007-2008 tour and will be unable to keep that date.

For details, go to www.carolinaperformingarts.org or call 843-3333. The Memorial Hall Box Office will be closed for the holidays and will reopen on Jan. 9.
