DURHAM - Got an old photograph of Durham Athletic Park? Durham administrators would like to see it.

The city wants to use the photos to ensure that the forthcoming renovation of the park properly reflects its history, according to a city news release. Workers on the project are seeking photos from the park's early days in the 1930s to the 1990s.

"We want all types of photos, but especially photos depicting interior shots of the grandstand, clubhouses, locker rooms, entry plaza, offices, broadcasting booth and concession areas," Beth Hickman Emerson of the city's Department of General Services said in the release.

Photographs may be mailed or scanned and sent by e-mail. They must arrive by Feb. 28 to be considered by designers.

Send photos to DAPphotos @durhamnc.gov or Durham Athletic Park (DAP) Photos, c/o Beth Emerson, City of Durham General Services Department, 101 City Hall Plaza, Durham, NC 27701.

For more information, call Emerson at 560-4197, ext. 277, e-mail her at beth.emerson@ durhamnc.gov or visit the city's Web site at www.durhamnc.gov/departments/eed/dap.
