SALUTE TO OUR TROOPS TENTATIVE AGENDA
APRIL 26
10 A.M. Flyover of downtown Raleigh by F-15s from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Appearances by other military aircraft possible.
10:01 A.M. Parade begins up Fayetteville Street, passes around the State Capitol and continues north to the mall at the state government complex. Route may grow as plans for the event expand.
11:30 A.M. Access to displays of military equipment, including weaponry, armored vehicles, marine rescue and climbing walls. Also, access to displays of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the NASCAR Nationwide Series show cars for 2008.
FOR MILITARY FAMILIES: Rides, games, slides, an obstacle course and also musical and other entertainment provided at a center stage.
NOON: Lunch for military families.
NOON TO 5 P.M.: Free access to Marbles Kids Museum for military families. State museums are open to the public at no charge.
7 P.M.: Carolina RailHawks host opening night game as WakeMed "Military Appreciation Night" and provide at least 1,000 and maybe as many as 2,500 tickets to military families.
