GREENVILLE -- An employee of an Old Navy clothing store in Greenville has been charged with 115 counts of secretly videotaping or photographing women in the store's dressing room, a police spokesman said Thursday.
Cpl. Kip Gaskins said an investigation began on Valentine's Day after a woman saw someone trying to take photos or video under the door of a dressing room she was using. Four days later, police arrested Calvin Lee Johnson Jr., 31, of 2564 Nash Joyner Road in Farmville, an employee of the Greenville Boulevard store. Johnson has been fired.
He was initially charged with one count of felonious secret peeping. After more investigation, 114 additional charges were filed this week, Gaskins said. Johnson is being held on $110,000 bail.

Police found digital images of 53 unidentified women, Gaskins said. The images were recorded between Jan. 29 and Feb. 14 and found on Johnson's computer, police said.

Melissa Swanson, a spokeswoman for Old Navy, said the company conducts pre-employment screening for employees and did so for Johnson. She said Johnson did not have a criminal record when he was hired.
Swanson said she did not know how long Johnson had worked for the company.
In a statement, she said the company immediately fired Johnson and conducted its own investigation. She said the company was "deeply troubled and disturbed by the actions of this former employee."
Customers can call the company at (800) 653-6289 with questions or concerns, she said.
