Police said a tractor-trailer changing lanes on Capital Boulevard on Wednesday morning apparently hit a car near Thornton Road and sent it into nearby woods, injuring at least two people.
Multiple ambulances were dispatched to the scene after the crash, which happened about 6:30 a.m.
Preliminary information compiled by officers at the scene indicated the truck was going south.
The driver did not see a car traveling in his blind spot, and the truck hit the car as the driver moved the rig to the right, police said.
It was not immediately known how seriously the people in the car were hurt.
