A vehicle took out three power poles on Old Oxford Road near Hamlin Road in Durham on Wednesday morning, dropping electric lines and closing a section of the road, police said.
The crash happened about 5:45 a.m. near Hamlin Road, police said.
The driver was reported to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the falling power lines damaged two parked cars.

Officers closed Old Oxford Road was closed between Hebron and Hamlin roads, officials said.
Duke Energy work crews were on the scene to make repairs, and the company posted an estimate that they could have lines back up by 9 a.m. Police said, however, that they expected to the road to be closed for a good part of the morning.
