DURHAM — The Durham Fire Department is investigating a suspicious package found this morning in a vehicle at the intersection of Pineburr Place and Greyson Drive in the Greyson's Green subdivision.
HazMat personnel are testing samples taken from the package to identify the substance and determine whether it is hazardous, said Capt. Angelica Stroud.
No injuries have been reported, but the immediate vicinity has been cordoned off, Stroud said.
The fire department responded to a 911 call about a suspicious package at 9:30 a.m., authorities said. Fire department personnel subsequently found the package in a vehicle with a female driver, according to Stroud.
