The Mariposa School for Children with Autism in Cary now has until Dec. 31 to match a challenge grant from The Sunshine Lady Foundation, a charity of Doris Buffett, the sister of billionaire investor Warren Buffett. The school was about $19,000 short of the $100,000 challenge, so the original deadline, which was Monday, has been extended. The foundation will donate $50,000 to the school if it can meet the goal.

To learn more or to donate online, see http://autismtakeflight.blogspot.com/. The school's YouTube video, available at www.youtube.com/autismtakeflight, demonstrates its training practices with children with autism.
