The public will get a chance to review and comment on proposed changes to Raleigh's comprehensive development plan during three public workshops this week, starting tonight.
The Comprehensive Plan provides the framework to guide Raleigh's growth through the year 2030.
The workshops will be held:
* Tonight at Providence Baptist Church, 6339 Glenwood Ave.
* Wednesday at Moore Square Magnet Middle School, 301 S. Person St.
* Thursday at Church of God of Prophesy, 1200 S. State St.
Registration will begin at 6 p.m. at all workshops. The program and open house will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

DURHAM CITY, COUNTY TO HONOR MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.
The city of Durham and Durham County will host the Fourth Annual City-County Government Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at noon Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, 305 East Main St.
The celebration brings together hundreds of county and city employees each year to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy while focusing on the importance of justice, diversity and multiculturalism. The event is free and open to the public.
The Rev. Michelle Cotton-Laws will be the keynote speaker.
Music will be provided by a choir of city and county employees.
