The family of slain newspaper carrier Jennifer Nielsen will hold a vigil on Sunday at the Exxon station at Lake Wheeler Road where the pregnant mother was killed.
The 4 p.m vigil will honor six people who died violently in Raleigh between June 3 and July 1.
In an e-mail, Nielsen's father, Kevin Blaine, said the vigil will also honor Pascual Xolo, 33; Damarkos Eugene Alan Thorpe, 30; Tyrone Robert Covington, 28; Veronica Malone, 38; and Fidencio San Agustin San Juan, 37. Blaine also wrote Nielsen's family is attempting to contact the families of the victims.
Nielsen, 22, died from a single stab wound to the neck on June 14. Raleigh police have not made an arrest in the case. She was due to give birth July 8 to a son she had already named Ethen.
