RALEIGH -
A pedestrian who was struck Tuesday on South Saunders Street died Wednesday, according to Raleigh police.
Officers have not released the man's name, pending notification of his family. He was crossing the entrance to a parking area when he was struck about 5:55 p.m.
A Toyota 4Runner that was preparing to turn into the parking lot had stopped to let him cross, according to a police report. But a Kia minivan rammed the rear of the Toyota, forcing it forward into the pedestrian.
The Kia driver, Janechka Richards Nunn, 32, of Apex was charged with failing to reduce speed. The driver of the Toyota, Lisa Johnson Lewis, 28, of Kenly was not charged.
