RALEIGH -- Joseph Dale Rackley, 52, of Garner pleaded guilty this week to possession of child pornography.
Sentencing is set for Sept. 22, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
According to court filings, Dunn Police were called to the Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital after it was discovered that Rackley, a hospital employee, had used his work computer to view images of child pornography Nov. 21, 2005.
His computer was analyzed and showed that 125 digital images of child pornography were on the computer, according to a news release from the justice department.
A search of Rackley's home found a computer with about 540 images of child porn or child erotica, the release said. In addition, images were recovered that had previously been deleted, the release said.
Numerous images matched images of known victims in the database of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the release.
