HOLLY SPRINGS -- About 135 homes in the Braxton Village subdivision of Holly Springs lost water this morning after a water line break in the intersection of Texanna Way and Holly Meadow Drive. Water was restored by 2 p.m. The cause of the 12-inch diameter line break has not been determined.
Traffic through parts of Braxton Village is being rerouted until pavement is repaired where the water line broke.
The lower intersection of Holly Meadow Drive and Avent Ferry Road remains closed to through traffic. Motorists should use the upper Holly Meadow Drive entrance to Braxton Village and follow the detour route - Evergreen View Drive to Avent Meadows Lane to Holly Thorn Trace.
The break was discovered between 4 and 4:30 a.m.
