Health screenings, lectures and exhibits by more than 80 health-related organizations will be available at the Triangle Asian American Health Fair on Saturday.
Health-fair visitors can learn about a range of topics, including cardiovascular diseases, insurance, elder care and emergency preparedness, and can receive free consultations with medical and health-care professionals. Medical literature will be available in English and Asian languages.
The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Colonial Baptist Church at 6051 Tryon Road in Cary and is open to everyone, regardless of ethnicity or age. Admission is free, but organizers request that visitors donate a nonperishable food item to benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
