Three arrested in assault on pizza deliverer

RALEIGH -- Sheriff's deputies have arrested three people after a pizza delivery man was robbed and hit in the face with a baseball bat, according to court documents.

According to a search warrant made public Friday, a delivery driver for Domino's in Apex was robbed by two men Dec. 9.

Investigators searched an Apex house on the same street as the robbery and seized documents, a bandanna and a cell phone, the warrant said.

Two people who live at 7529 Creekbird Road, Brandon Chance and Katherine Gast, have been charged. Chance faces one count each of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and armed robbery. Gast faces felony aiding-and-abetting charges.

Another woman, Lashea Renee Lassiter, 18, of 312 Peace Haven Place in Apex, also faces aiding-and-abetting charges, arrest warrants show.
