RALEIGH -- Officials from the Triangle Transit Authority and Capital Area Transit will meet Saturday with the Southgate Community Outreach Association to discuss improvements to a neighborhood bus stop. The stop is the first of six in Wake County that will be refurbished with a $120,000 grant.

Improvements to the bus stop on northbound Rock Quarry Road at Proctor Road will be paid for by the Active Community and Neighborhood grant program, according to a news release from the TTA.

The grant program is funded by the John Rex Endowment, through the N.C. Division of Public Health.

The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Southgate Community Center, 1801 Proctor Road. The public is welcome to attend.
