2nd man arrested in shooting at store

WAKE FOREST - A second man has been arrested in connection with the February robbery and shooting at a Wake Forest convenience store, according to the Wake Forest Police Department.

Police say they have charged Jesse Lee Bundy, of 1312 Rio Valley Drive, Apt. 104, in Raleigh, with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon. Wake Forest police have arrested a second man in connection with the Feb. 29 robbery and shooting at the Quality Food Mart, 2206 S. Main St.

The incident occurred about 10:28 p.m. on Feb. 29. According to police reports, Bundy drove Kendrecus Marquell Williams to the convenience store. Bundy parked and stayed in the vehicle while Williams went inside, demanded money and shot the store clerk, Samir Patel, 32, in the abdomen.

Bundy drove Williams away knowing that a crime had occurred. Bundy, 19, is being held in the Guilford County jail on an unrelated charge.

Police arrested Williams, 20, on March 11. He remains in the Wake County jail awaiting trial.
