Here are some ideas that occurred to me as I drove around town. Consider them morsels for thought:

Glenwood Avenue is home to Furniture Row and Six Forks is where all the churches are, but has anybody noticed that Falls of the Neuse is developing its own little identity? A Port Java is opening near Caribou Coffee, which is down the street from Starbucks Coffee. Cup A Joe is not too far south.

Should we call Falls of the Neuse "Caffeine Row"?

Can life get any better than having ice cream with your kids on a pleasant evening at Goodberry's?

All over North Raleigh, signs for health clubs offer new members a free month, waiving of enrollment fees, etc. They seem to be hurting for members.

Meanwhile, Crabtree Valley Mall is expanding its parking deck to accommodate the crowds for the new Cheesecake Factory.

Hang in there health clubs. Business is bound to pick up.

Here's an exercise: Drive Capital Boulevard north of the Outer Loop, then head over to Six Forks north of the Outer Loop. Now you know how strong our watershed protection laws are.

Did you know there are seven named lakes in northern Wake (north of the Beltline between Glenwood and 401)?

Remember to vote Tuesday. See our web site, NorthRaleighNews.com, for our series of stories on how the bonds on the ballot would affect north Wake.
