Frankie's Fun Park, the South Carolina have-fun-with-arcade-games-and-go-karts import, has opened up in the Brier Creek neighborhood.
The 16-acre site will feature a 32,000-square-foot anchor building with an arcade and laser tag.
Outside there are three mini-golf courses, batting cages and three go-kart tracks. In addition to the fun stuff, there's also a 250-seat Italian restaurant.
Frankie's Fun Park is located on the intersection of T.W. Alexander Drive and U.S. 70, just North of Interstate 540. For more information, visit the Web site:
www.frankiesfunpark.com.Lamb's Ear, a children's clothing boutique from the same people who created Frances T. King Stationery store in Cameron Village, has opened at The Lassiter at North Hills.
The site is temporary before the owners open a combined stationery and children's store in the retail space of The Alexan North Hills, the residential complex to be completed before the end of the year.
Lamb's Ear will have an upscale selection of kids' clothes. Some brands for sale include: Anavini, Bailey Boys, Funtasia and Le Top.
As for shoes, you can grab brands such as Footmates, Kid's Express and Willits.
Lamb's Ear is next to George R. McNeill II Antiques and Interiors near Harris Teeter on the north side of Lassiter Mill Road.
J.K.'s, a surf and turf destination is now open for dinner at North Hills on Six Forks Road just north of the Beltline.
Founded by Tar Heel restaurant impresario, J.K. Norfleet, the restaurant features steak and specialty seafood dishes in a grown-up atmosphere. That's right, no children's menu.
The restaurant seats 145. The bar itself is an epic 700 square feet and seats 42.
The 7,800-square-foot restaurant opens the bar at 5 p.m. and the dining room at 5:45 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
J.K.'s is located at Lassiter Mill Road entrance across from the under-construction condominiums next to The Lassiter at North Hills.
