Celebrate shrimp, seaweed and other sushi staples soon at North Hills. Mura, a Japanese sushi, teppan and hibachi restaurant, will be slicing the fish very thin starting in August.

The restaurant is behind J.C. Penney, across from Porto in the main shopping area of the center. North Hills is located at the intersection of Six Forks and Lassiter Mills roads.

Do your kids need new school clothes and study materials?

Sure they do. Would you like to buy an iPod tax-free and call it an educational purchase?

Sure you do.

In addition to the state's tax- free weekend incentive to shop for students' needs, some electronics stores are offering sales.

The best deal for the weekend will be at CompUSA on Glenwood Avenue west of the intersection of Duraleigh Road, where almost every notebook and desktop in the joint is marked down.

Other technology outlets like Best Buy and Circuit City will not be as generous with their electronics savings, according to store representatives.

Most Target locations will have sales on school supplies and limited sales on some clothes and electronics.

The tax-free weekend started at 12:01 a.m. today and ends at midnight Sunday.

A Crabtree Valley Mall update:

* The Levi Store will be dealing denim later this year next to Brooks Brothers.

* Also coming is Swim 'n Sport, a designer outlet that sells brands more likely to be seen on runways than diving boards.

Brands include: Calvin Klein DKNY, Jag, Gottex, Roxanne, Hot Kiss and Kenneth Cole.

* For those into pricey polo shirts adorned with wily green crocodiles, Lacoste is now open.

The Woodcraft franchise in North Raleigh will be playing host in August to the Full Moon Saloon. The work of more than 20 carvers depicts a Wild West watering hole complete with cowboys and assorted rapscallions. Check it out later this month at the store in Townridge Shopping Center on Glenwood Avenue.
