After a dozen years of operation, Lucky 32 will be closing its restaurant on Spring Forest Road at the end of the month.

The Greensboro-based chain specialized in a rotating seasonal menu, farm fresh produce and a expansive wine list.

"With the shifting sands of supply and demand, healthy restaurant outfits open and close restaurants all of the time," read a letter to customers on the restaurant's Web site.

The chain will keep open its Cary, Winston-Salem and Greensboro locations.

The last meal for the restaurant will be Sunday brunch on Oct. 29.

Lucky 32 is on Spring Forest Road just off the intersection Falls of Neuse Road. For more information, visit: www.lucky32.com.

At the other mall this weekend, feel free to buy a vowel.

Crabtree Valley Mall will host the Wheel of Fortune crew (sans Pat Sajak or Vanna White). The sultans of spin will be on hand to vet the vowel buying talent of Triangle contestants.

Organizers -- who are tooling around the country in the "Wheelmobile," a 32-foot Winnebago -- will stage three shows on Saturday and Sunday to look for candidates.

Times are at 1:00 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Potential contestants should arrive an hour ahead of time to fill out an application.

Crabtree Valley Mall is on Glenwood Avenue, just north of the intersection with I-440.
