A Canadian microwinery franchise is bringing custom winemaking to North Raleigh.
Carafe Wine Makers is now open at the Falls River Town Center. The Canadian franchise's third U.S. location sells wine by the bottle, but specializes in small-batch wine production with ingredients from California and as far away as Australia and Chile.
The 1,800-square-foot location is divided into the retail floor and the wine production facilities. The retail side includes a tasting bar.
The minimum amount for a custom wine order is two and a half cases or 30 bottles. It takes six weeks to make the wine and Carafe offers custom labeling.
