A Connecticut health care company is planning a Wal-Mart-sized fitness center in North Raleigh, slated to open by the start of next year. Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness will be part of the 187,000-square-foot American Institute of Healthcare and Fitness.

The center will include a full sized lap pool, a women's-only fitness center and a basketball gym.

Seagrove Pottery has opened in Triangle Town Center.

Located in the lower level near Saks Fifth Avenue, the store will sell handcrafted pottery from North Carolina artists.

Cheeburger Cheeburger, at the intersection of Spring Forest and Falls of the Neuse roads, has closed.

With a name inspired by a Saturday Night Live sketch and the decor of a 1950s soda shop, the chain still has a location in Brier Creek and in Apex.
