Taking a cue from some of the hipper coffee joints, a planned Bruegger's Bagels in Wakefield Commons will push for a more "now" image.

Jackelin and Michael Jefferson's new bagel shop, slated to open by the end of January in a new building in the shopping center, will feature leather lounge furniture and free wireless Internet.

"It's a very comfy, very laid- back kind of a theme," Michael Jefferson said.

Wakefield Commons is at Capital Boulevard and New Falls of the Neuse Road.

In other coffee news, Primo Espresso of Millbrook Road and Atlantic Avenue has changed hands.

The former drive-through McDonald's-turned-java joint was run by Holly and Marcus Rench.

Primo is now the second location for Rana Capelli Cafe.

Owner Ed Perfetto said that the Renches had relocated and sold their Goldsboro and North Raleigh coffee outlets.

The change will bring Rana Capelli's products and coffee, including Raleigh roaster Larry's Beans, and a line of pastries, to another location.

Rana Capelli's original drive- through on Glenwood Avenue in the Oak Park Shopping Center will remain open.
