A Connecticut health care company is planning a Wal-Mart-sized fitness center in North Raleigh, slated to open by the start of next year. Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness will be part of the 187,000-square-foot American Institute of Healthcare and Fitness.

The center will include a full sized lap pool, a women's-only fitness center and a basketball gym.
