If you love good deals, then mark your calendar for Ravenscroft's fabulous shopping event "The Market" on March 13-15.

Vendors from across the country will be selling items for the home, jewelry, fashion wear and accessories, art and more.

Only vendors without Wake County storefronts are considered for booth space.

The event is held in the A. E. Finley Center on the schools campus, 7409 Falls of Neuse Road.

Admission is $5, and tickets are valid for all three days of the event.

Hours are: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 13; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 14; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15.

A portion of The Market proceeds support existing and new community outreach programs sponsored by Ravenscroft.

Wakefield Middle School, 2300 Wakefield Pines Drive, is hosting a sixth-grade orientation for incoming students.

The orientations will be held at 6 p.m. March 25-26.

Students whose last names start with the letters A-L should attend the orientation on March 25.

Students whose last names start with letters M-Z should attend the orientation on March 26.

Congratulations and good luck to Jeffreys Grove Elementary School students heading to the Eastern Regional Odyssey of the Mind Tournament Saturday in Chapel Hill.

These three teams are the first to compete in the competition from the school.

Odyssey of the Mind challenges students to use creative ways to solve problems. The competition was founded in 1978 and includes teams from kindergarten to college students.
