Regarding the Aug. 17 news article “ GOP moves to restrict challenges of N.C. laws”: It seems our Republican legislators and their consultants are upset that certain judges have declared some of their legislation to be unconstitutional.
Francis X. De Luca, president of the Civitas Institute, is particularly peeved. He said, “You’d have to think hard to remember a time when we had this number of laws declared unconstitutional in this quick a time.”
Perhaps that is because one has to think hard to remember a time when we had this number of unconstitutional laws passed by our legislators in this quick a time.
