Rhonda Crutchfield: Tillis shows no respect to Hagan

Regarding the Sept. 4 news article “Hagan, Tillis clash in opening debate”: Kay Hagan is a United States senator and should be addressed with the respect that title deserves. Thom Tillis repeatedly referred to Hagan as “Kay” in their debate on Sept. 3. This was disrespectful, demeaning and condescending. The last thing North Carolina needs is a chauvinistic, middle-aged white man in the United States Senate.
